ETERNAL LIFE

Eternal Life

WHERE WILL YOU GO WHEN YOU DIE?

If you were to die today, do you know you’ll go to heaven? If not, you can be sure today!

STEP ONE: WE ALL FALL SHORT OF GOD’S STANDARDS.

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

Our first step towards God comes when we understand and admit we fall far short of His perfect standards. We do things we know are wrong. The Bible calls this sin. If you know you’re not perfect, then you know you’re a sinner.

STEP TWO: THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY FOR SIN.

“The wages of sin is death …” (Romans 6:23a)

The Bible says the price we pay for our sins is death. This is eternal separation from God in a terrible place called hell; a place reserved for all those who reject God and choose to make their own payment for their sins.

STEP THREE: GOD HAS PAID THE PRICE!

“… but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)

God loves you very much! He doesn’t want you to spend eternity in hell. That’s why He came to earth as a man — Jesus Christ. He came to live a perfect life, and die a horrible death to pay the price for your sins, so you can live forever in Heaven with Him.

STEP FOUR: WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT IT?

“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Forgiveness that leads to eternal life comes only through Jesus Christ who rose from the dead to prove He is the only one able to save you. But knowing you’re a sinner and that God wants to save you is not enough. You must want to be saved. You must want to turn from your old life to a new life with Jesus Christ. This is called repentance and begins when you sincerely ask Him to save you.

“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3b)

A miraculous spiritual birth happens when you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to save you. As you turn from your old life to begin living a new life in Him, a great adventure of learning and spiritual growth lies ahead. Find a good church to join (where God’s Word is believed and preached), read the Bible and talk to God every day.
